A cross between “Shark Tank” and “American Idol,” each inventor has 60 seconds to pitch our executives. Successful products have gone on to be national infomercials and are selling at Target, Wal-Mart, CVS and more.

Inventors selected for the Speed Pitch event will be notified by February 2, 2015. At that point, the inventors will be given the Austin, Texas venue location for the Speed Pitch. Top Dog Direct’s first Speed Pitch event held in March in Philadelphia yielded true success. At-home inventor and physical therapist Akiva Shmidman from Baltimore presented the BeActive Brace. Top Dog Direct signed a deal with Akiva and in April, shot a two-minute infomercial. Akiva’s BeActive Brace rolled out on store shelves (Walmart, Target, etc.) beginning Fall 2014.
