Discuss your business and meet potential mentors to get answers to your most pressing questions at First & Second Looks Mentoring Program. All mentors are experienced business leaders with special areas of expertise and a wide range of experience specially chosen each month to try to match up with mentee needs. Some are investors. All are volunteers who give their time to help others.
The program is free but you must apply and be invited. Applications are due by the 1st of each month. Only seven businesses will receive an invitation so apply early. After six months, former First Looks mentees are invited to return and meet with mentors at Second Looks Forum. The First Looks and Second Looks program is presented by the Business Success Center in cooperation with Texas Entrepreneur Networks.
Any pre-start or early stage business may participate. The goal is to help you make progress by discussing your financial, sales, technology, legal, marketing, pricing, funding and management goals and concerns face-to-face with business experts. Over 200 businesses have participated so far. They include artists, inventors, retailers, B2B and B2C product and service businesses, training companies, and all kinds of energy and tech companies.
Some of our mentoring program can be done online and by phone. Selected companies must be able to attend their one-on-one mentoring meeting from 5:30-8:00PM in Austin, Texas. This is held at the offices of the Business Success Center, 7600 Burnet Road #130 on the third Tuesday of the month.
Visitors are not allowed to attend the mentoring night but they may attend the “First Success” workshop on the same day, co-sponsored by Lee & Hayes, pllc, either online or in person. Check out the current topic and RSVP at http://www.eventbrite.com/o/business-success-center-219838170?s=9721084.
