Patricia founded Austin’s famous Sweetish Hill Bakery, and now she is equally passionate about her kids’ meals business. Her story will make grown men pee their pants (with laughter). If you are involved in any kind of business, but especially a food business, you need to hear her story. She will be sharing the challenges and triumphs of running probably the toughest of all types of business.

This meeting is on the 18th of July at our NEW location: Blackfinn Ameripub in the Domain
>>>IMPORTANT NOTE<<<
Back when she started, Austin was a food desert. Not a single decent wedding cake or loaf of bread in sight. She even had to cater her own wedding! “I didn’t find my career” she says. “IT FOUND ME”.
After Sweetish Hill she opened, a restaurant, a deli, a catering company, a wholesale business, a fancy tablecloth restaurant, and so on, and is now doing healthy school lunches in private schools. She has many tips and tricks for helping your business become more profitable. She made plenty of mistakes along the way and wants to help you avoid making them.
One of the greatest delights and lasting challenges of her time in the food business has been employees. She will share with you her secret of hiring good (read honest, hard-working and loyal) employees, one of whom finally replaced her as the executive chef. She will also share humorous stories about the ones that did not work out.
Patricia Bauer-Slate is available as a consultant, and will go over her latest venture, and why she is so passionate about making healthy food for kids.
